My last day was hosting an Urban Sketchers event in ‘Lonnie’ as the locals call it. Read all about it on the USK AUS blog here. It was a very fresh morning but perfectly still and I had the best morning sketching and meeting some lovely local sketchers.
The most significant buiding in town is the Post Office… but it is currently under wraps but at least I managed a quick warmup sketch of the tower.
Next- I wanted to sketch the Town Hall- so approached this lovely crisp buidling in my old style. Perspective setup, ink outlines and then colour. (lovely lunch at the Tearoom cafe QVMAG Royal Park was added later)
And then I went crazy on my final sketch of this amazing terrace building on Cameron St.
I was a happy girl!
Ended my trip with a catch up with some friends that I have known all their lives. They ordered the chocolate plate….
And I will end these long posts with my flight home sketch..,
