Last week's sketches: A lean week?

February 16, 2021 | 4 Comments

I haven’t managed to do a lot of sketching lately but to stick with my new resolution of keeping my blog up to date, I’m going to share everything here.

I feel as if it’s been a ‘lean week’ – this is a term I’ve used on a number of occasions in the past (such as here and here) and as usual the act of scanning and posting makes me see that it’s not been as lean as I thought.

As I’m super busy today prepping for the final two livestreams for the Group Run-through of Sketchbook Design I’m just going to share the pages as they are.

Notes:
1. I’m including my Harris page again so you can see it in context.
2. I added a pink background to my teacup to hide a mistake splash.
3. I’ll erase my pencil lines after this week’s Sketchbook Design livestream. I leave them in so I can discuss my thought process.

How was your week of sketching?

    So glad you’re blogging more!

Well Liz, this amount of sketching would have been an extremely active sketching week for me, lol! I guess the saying holds true: “ One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor”! Btw, I LOVE the pink background on the teacup sketch – looks amazing! Looks like Potters Pink and Quin Rose!

Hi Yvonne – yes we all have different norms. The pink is watery Quin Rose – no Potters Pink in it at all! 🙂
