Summer Break 2015: Hard or Soft?

December 24, 2015 | Leave your thoughts

As much as I would love to have a total ‘hard’ break from work between Christmas and New Year, I know that is not an option. I still have to be around to maintain some things and I don’t want to have the usual big scanning and posting burden after a holiday/vacation.

So this year is it going to be a soft break. I plan to be away from my computer as much as possible, but I will still be posting my adventures on Instagram, Facebook and here. But it will be more like the old days of ‘hobby blogging’ and probably a lot of re-posting from my IG account.

So today…

Just every once in a while I feel like a full cooked breakfast – it makes me feel like I am on holidays (vacation) and reminds me of my UK trips. This is probably the hardest meal to sketch and eat as the food cools so quickly but I love the challenge. Love chilling amongst the crazy xmas eve madness here @themissingpiecemq #macquariecentre

Most people come to @macquariecentre on #xmaseve to go shopping. Not me – I just want some #cafesketching time. The staff @themissingpiecemq never stop! Loving the #santasuit Brendan!

And here is a photo of me and the baristas! I love the way Brendan, Matt and all of the staff at The Missing Piece make every visit special.

Sitting on the ground at centre court sketching the @macquariecentre tree. I am in the holiday mood now!

And when I got home I decided to plan some sewing. Sewing with cricket on the radio = summer holidays. Today I was just planning. I don’t know how many times I do a planning sketch – sadly, sewing often requires energy and commitment that I don’t seem to often have, but this summer I am determined!

Anyway… wishing you all, my wonderful friends and followers,

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Below is the remainder of the sketches I have done this week… which I think are self explanatory!
