Starting a new sketchbook

What not again? Yes, the small watercolour moleskine only lasted me 2 weeks (plus one week worth I did in it last month) so I have taken the big step of starting a big moleskine (a4 landscape format)
I am extremely excited about the sketching and layout options of this larger page but worried about the size getting in the way on location and the weight.

So here it is in action on a small cafe table (penny royal at mosman). The trick might be to use the sketchbook as a platform for my paint tin.

  • Oh the joys of a fresh new sketchbook. You really inspiree to push for more sketches Liz! I too have been planning on up scaling my sketchbook size.

Today I actually bout a cheap blank page book about 6×9 just to get familiar with the size 🙂 can't wait to see what you come up with

  • Wow, that is such a big page and I am excited to see what you do with it. I have been eyeing it myself but that large surface seems daunting. I love what Jim Richards does with it. Have you seen his sketches in that book?
