Big Sketching day: Chinese Gardens and the Art Gallery

November 15, 2008 | Leave your thoughts

Met up with a sketching group at the Chinese Gardens in the centre of the city.
A combination of trying to draw too much, too fast and then a few more successful details.

I then headed up to the Art Gallery…Trying to sketch impressionist paintings with a handful of watercolour pencils is a brand new challenge to me… fairly ordinary little sketches but I got so much out of doing them and was lots of fun. Nice to have an excuse to sit and sit in front of some Monets!

And finally finished the day and my book off with a super quick (under 2 minutes) sketch of the skyline as seen from the front of the Art Gallery
