Some afternoons I just feel the need to get out for a sketch and I’m always looking for locations where I can sit in the sun. Sydney’s winter sun is just so nice!

Here are two sketches from recent afternoon outings.

Above: A little hidden lookout (10 minutes drive) from my home with a great view of Middle Harbour. It was overcast when I started the sketch but then the sun came out.

Wahroonga Park on a Friday afternoon – sitting on a bench in the sun and enjoying the sounds of children playing.

Ah! sketching out on location is the best!
