Inktober 2019 - Part 1 (plus USK Sydney at Summer Hill)

October 23, 2019 | 4 Comments

October has been a little hectic for me – working on my latest online course Watercolour on Location, going away for Brisbane Sketchfest (report coming soon) and other things. But I’m pleased to report that I have been keeping up with my goal of doing simple line ink drawings for the Inktober challenge. In fact I’m ahead of my quota! However I’ve massively fallen behind post my work. So today I will share my sketches from the first 15 days of the month.

Here they all are… for most of these sketches I have included the full spread for context. I’m only counting ink-only sketches as part of Inktober but you can see in the spreads below that I normally mix these drawings up with ink and wash sketches to make a varied spread.

The first half of these sketches were done in An Etchr sketchbook (hot press)

Are you doing the Inktober challenge? How are you going with it?

  • Good to see your Inktober sketches! I see that you added a bit of color to a few of them. I am keeping up…in fact I am 3 days ahead. I knew I was going to be with family for a few days and was fairly sure I wouldn’t have much time to sketch, so I made sure to get ahead. It is great that you have been able to keep up with all the other things you are working on.

Hello Liz ! I am keeping up with my 4th InkTober challenge. The downside of it : I am way behind with my exercises of your amazing Watercolour on Location course. As of November 1st, I will be jumping in your videos again and doing exercises. I do admire your work and am amazed with your level of energy.
