USKSYD event at QVB

Wonderful morning today at QVB (Queen Victoria Building) with a big group of USKSYD (22 sketchers!) I really loved all the work done today and how many aspects of this iconic location were captured on the page. Big welcome to a number of first timers – was great to have you along!
Next month 5th July. …more details later.

I will be using my right hand for a week or so… today was a real challenge tackling complex subjects!

A photo to ‘prove’ my right-handedness. I am loving that I have to turn my palette upside down,

Funny that the cafe next to the spot where we were sketching was a tearoom. The Palace Tearoom. The prices were QVB-ish so we only ordered drinks… but tea in wedgwood china is pretty special!

Certainly a lot easier to sketch a simple object (simple???) than a complex view.

An ambitious subject matter with my non-dominant hand – St Mary’s cathedral. I am determined to achieve more control with my right hand!

  • Love that denim skirt you are wearing, Liz. It is a fabulous looking design. Your right hand work is awesome. I really love the stained glass windows and bookshelves in particular! Looks like you had a huge group!
