Back Home!

Back Home with 4 x A4 moleskine sketchbooks filled with sketches and lots of blank spaces for maps, notes and adding ephemera … in other words I have a lot of homework before I get around to scanning! Considering that each one only lasted about 1 week, I am surprised that they are so battered (corners and even the stitching in one of them) The BB stickers refer to the volume number.

This year’s trip has proved to be the most ‘full-on’ trip I have had. I didn’t do a lot of travelling from place to place but I was with people or meeting people the whole time…and getting very little sleep. Nice to get back home and have some quiet ‘me-time’!

Thanks for everyone that has made this trip very special – people that I met in BCN, or Cardiff or London. There are many people I didn’t meet in BCN – but I hope to be able to catch up with your sketches online and maybe see you next year.

Thanks too for all of you that have followed my adventures and left comments. It is a lot of fun to travel and post at the same time and it is great to be able to share it with you!

  • Such a lovely tea cup it is!

Indeed, what a tempting cuppa! Oh Liz, I just love your splashy, spontaneous sketches! As a Scottish artist working in north Germany anybody who loves tea as much as you do, is an inspiration! You make tea and cake seem such an artistic adventure!(as a lover of architecture, your building sketches are beautiful!) keep on inspiring!
