Remember the days when I used to do elaborate preparations for my trips – I had a sketchbook dedicated to ‘trip prep’… well I just don’t seem to have the time these days!

I am heading to Tasmania for some workshops later this month – so it is a work trip but I do have some travel time included. I just can’t work out what to do with myself. So I thought I would also draw a map – the yellow splashes are areas I would like to go (poor Maria Island got submerged- that is one place I would love to go back to)…ah, decisions decisions…. And oh! I need to start that tearoom/cafe list for myself too don’t I?

Combining work and travel means that my trip prep list is even longer… I do have a fancy app these days- ToDoist which has been really great for keeping track of all the things I must do on all my many projects at the moment… but sometimes it is just so much more meaningful to plan with a pen in the hand!

I feel so much more focused now (or am I just a victim of distraction!) though of course I have to fill the list in – not just splash paint around!
