Update on my everyday sketching project

A super quick post today to share pages in my sketchbook from the last fortnight. I haven’t done a lot of sketching (with the exception of a brief sketching getaway which I will tell you about later in the week) but recording what I sketched in my schedule is keeping me more aware and accountable.

Even if I don’t sketch anything exciting, I always have fun with composition.

So here are my pages.

Aside: I filled up 11 double page spreads in two days on Cockatoo Island  on Tu 10 and Wed 11. More about that soon.

And here is an updated view of the back page schedule. This is fun! Next, I need to use some of the unused prompts next, don’t I?


  • You found enough time to sketch quite a bit! New shoes, teacups…good items. It is hard to read some of the writing…who passed away in their sleep?

      Thanks Joan! In regard to the writing, I don’t mind people trying to read it (I obscure if it’s personal) but it’s main purpose is to show people how to use text as a design element. In answer to your question it was a dear sweet 80 year old lady who was a neighbour.
