A free online sketchbook workshop

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be part of a great online event coming up later this month

It’s called Sketchbook Revival (hosted by my new friend Karen Abend) running between 23 April – 4 May  (and drum roll please) it’s FREE!

It will feature over 20 artists (fine artists, illustrators, intuitive artists, designers, art therapists and art journalers etc) and each session will feature an activity/workshop with the focus on creating art inside a sketchbook.

I will be demonstrating my favourite tips for urban sketching (recording complex scenes with shapes and edges) and sharing some inside information about how I compose my sketchbook pages. I had a lot of fun filming my session with Karen working alongside me… so I hope you will join in as well.

I’m really looking forward to seeing inside other artist’s sketchbooks – particularly those from different disciplines – as I am so focused on observational sketching. I know that this workshop will open up new possibilities as to how I use my sketchbook, tying in nicely with my current Everyday Sketching project.

PLEASE NOTE: If you were having problems signing up, the link has been changed and should now work!
