Old Country Roses

October 26, 2026 | 8 Comments

It’s been way too long since I drank from my Old Country Rose teacup and sketched it.

It was fun to combine my watercolour with brand-new acrylic markers I got last week –  seeing if I could soften the marks before they dried. Sometimes it worked and sometimes I didn’t get the effect I was aiming for – but either way I enjoyed it!

Ah! I love trying new materials and different techniques!

Stay tuned for more about these markers in the coming weeks.

So beautiful. Reminds me to revisit your courses I’ve purchased. It’s been so great to watch your practice evolve. Always loved the added scriptures to your journal pages. I need to dive in again. Hoping life slows down. Thank you for your work and constant inspiration.

Will you be running the little tea-cup course again, live? It was such fun. Also fun going into charity shops looking for interesting cups to draw.

Hi Judith. Yes I hope to host a. Teacups live version next year. I wanted to this year but it was too hard to fit in.

How serendipitous. Yesterday I stumbled on my sketches from your Tea Cup course. They looked much better than I remember. LOL. I learned a lot in that class and highly recommend it whether one is a tea drinker or not. You may be surprised when a neighbour to loan you all kinds of tea cups when they discover you’re taking this course.

I look forward to following along as you experiment with new materials and techniques. This is a beautiful and inspiring spread.
