Looking through my books

April 5, 2013 | 2 Comments

I was just looking through some of my sketchbooks this evening – trying to find a good sample book to show a class next week…. and once again whenever I do this I am blown away by the little details on the ‘nothing’ pages that seem to recall other things that are written in between the lines. It doesn’t mean that it is of any interest to anyone else but I am amazed at how enjoyable and sometimes significant trivia is looking back on it.

It has been a good reminder to me that the journalling aspect of my sketchbooks is something that IS really important to me and also that the sketchbook should be considered as a BOOK, to be read as a whole, not the individual sketches.

BTW- just a reminder to everyone in Sydney that I am teaching a sketching class on Wednesday mornings in May/June – more details here
