Back home after an amazing trip all around. I have come home to a newly painted studio and a lot of sorting to do. One of the pieces of furniture that I have had for years is my B0 size left-handed drawing machine. I am somewhat slightly attached to it but it is HUGE – way way too big and I have just come to terms that it needs to go. Am thinking of removing the board and machine and getting a new smaller board for the stand instead. Making decisions like this one to simplify/minimise is something I want to do a lot in the coming year.
I only arrived home 2-ish this afternoon but have managed to totally unpack and wanted to make sure that I start sketching my daily life straight away. 2013 was a little lean in this regard.
Lots of work to get stuck into tomorrow – and a fair bit of scanning in my spare time ( I did fill up 3 x A4 size moleskine sketchbooks).
Since this is my first real post for 2014 … I hope you all had a wonderful festive season and wish you all a Happy New Year!

Glad to read from you again. I followed the pictures but reading is different. A very Happy New Year to you.
THREE sketchbooks? wow!
Liz, what are one or two suggestions/tips you would give to someone (me!) who desires to sketch more often (daily-ness and special outings) but is stuck with always planning and seldom doing? Thank you and welcome back!
