This week in the SketchingNow Foundations Group Run-through I filmed a new demo doing a simple sketch of these two cute Tasmanian cottages using volumes. I also showed how working in edges and shapes is very different.

… and this morning I did a loose shape based (paint first) version. There is no doubt that starting with paint creates more interesting washes. My sap green got a little out of control… but it’s all just a bit of fun.

Just for the record, I will be returning to the Colours in my Palette next week. I’ve been too busy virtually exploring Rome!
