  • I can't travel that far for a workshop, but I'd love to know your wisdom and advice about shading the buildings… when do you prefer to shade iwth the ink and when do you prefer to shade with the paint? Also, what about buildings with plain old shiny, flat, aluminum siding, with no trim… I had to do a commission of such a place. They wanted it very large, and it just looked so bland, I was ashamed to say I drew it…

Hi Katherine… I do hope that there will be a way to put some online classes next year!
I will address your questions week 4 of this course… but in essence – normally shade with paint not pen (though I used to use pen) and plain building materials I rely on watercolour to make interesting patterns – a good granulating mix! More later… but great questions- thanks!

  • Online class – oh yeah!!! I was so hoping that you would do this sometimes. I am really looking forward to seeing this come up. And I am happy that you still blog from time to time as I miss my "daily dose of Liz" very much.
    Greetings from Austria
