As part of the preparation for offering my SketchingNow Buildings masterclass again, I have put together 3 video lessons to introduce some of the key concepts we explore in the course:
- How to use basic observational skills – angles and relationships – to draw buildings without perspective and achieve more accurate foreshortening so your sketches don’t look flat.
- How to draw building elements with appropirate thicknesses and depths so your building sketches look solid
- How to work in a structural way so that you don’t get lost when sketching complex buildings.
These lessons were emailed out to people on the waiting list while I was overseas and I’m pleased to be getting some great feedback about these intro lessons – that even these teasers for the main course are having an impact of people’s work.
Note: If you were part of the first group to go through Buildings, I will be sharing these lessons with you in a few weeks time, so you don’t need to sign up for the waiting list. I will be also providing you with the option to join the new classroom – I believe in looking after the ‘first-timers’!
Please let me know if you have any questions about the course.
