Another quick post today… just to share a sketch from last week. Hmm, teacup sketches have become a very rare event for my lately and I am not sure why.
I’m having a little overnight sketching adventure at the moment – if you are following me on Instagram you will know where I am.

Always lovely, always subtly different than previous ones. :^)
I guess the hues at the top of the teapot are all QRose based. But how did you make the darker versions, the cool maroon strokes? Did you just neutralize the QRose with its complement?
Thanks!
Thanks.
I added ultramarine to the Quin rose to get the maroon
Thanks Liz. When you’re just starting out like I am, little tips like that help so much! :^)
my pleasure!
Your teacups always make me smile and feel relaxed. Love the way you blend the colors in the saucer and that you leave lost edges.
thanks Joan!
Nice to see your tea cosy again – something out of your everyday life.
