2017 Calendar of my Europe Sketches

December 6, 2016 | 1 Comment

I still haven’t scanned all of my sketchbooks from my big 2 month Europe trip, but I have selected a few favourites and put them together into a 2017 calendar.

These images were not created to be hung on the wall, instead they’re quick sketches (completed in under 30 minutes) representing my personal record of place and form part of the narrative I was creating in my sketchbooks.

So it’s really exciting for me to see my sketches in this form, and I am happy with how the calendar looks.

Wonderful way to see your sketches!
Only real problem is that I don’t hang calendars on the wall. But I am wondering what kind of paper is the calendar printed on? for I do cut calendars apart and frame and hang the odd picture.
So I guess the specific question is — is it matte finish and is it fairly heavy? Would you object to me treating your calendar as a series of prints?
