All Packed!

All packed and ready to go…where???

I have been keeping my ‘summer holiday (vacation)’ plans low key this year… some of you know where I am off too. A number of comments are circulating around facebook but I haven’t and don’t intend to make any announcement.

Here is my rushed sketch of my bags once all packed..at a stage of total exhaustion.(sorry about the poor quality photo) Suitcase was fully packed at 8pm – I have to say that the previous trip prep pages have been helping me so much and rather than the last minute panic/late night I just am not really focused tonight (“Am I supposed to be packing- hmm don’t really feel like it”) There have been other things happening lately to take my attention and energy!

I will be iphone posting now for the next 2 weeks… so wish to take the opportunity of being able to use a keyboard… to say now that I hope everyone has a wonderful time over the next ‘festive season’ (however you celebrate) and safe travels to all that are on the road (or travelling by sea, plane, train…)

Thanks for following my adventures this year on flickr/ blog/ facebook. Thanks for all those that comment or like but also thanks to everyone that ‘views’ – I know that each and every ‘view’ is a real person who is interested enough to check out (regularly) how I record my daily life with pen and paint. Without you all, I would not be sketching as much as I do…or even going to my destination (theres a hint)

When I am about to embark on a trip – travelling on my own (of course BB is with me) I am always especially conscious of the need of the Lord’s protection. I need it everyday of my life but somehow my big adventures make me pause to consider even more and so tomorrow morning when I awake I will write out (as is my practice) the words of Ps 121. I add them here in full.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
