Tuesday night sketching

November 19, 2013 | Leave your thoughts

Two quick sketches from last evening…. I do like to do a very very basic ‘7 line’ setup of the main building volumes so the overall perspective is ok… but last night I was doing away with that. Instead trying to draw every line conforming to eyeline and vanishing points that I hadn’t even located on the page by a dot – fun.

The other page is some of my random tea tin collection. I don’t know what to do with them all those random size tins (I do like order!)…. and all the tea that I collect and haven’t used up. Just for the record I haven’t bought any new varieties tea all year (just stocked up on the regular supplies) …I am now going to try to get through all the stuff I have. Drinking a different type for each cuppa in a day.

And then because my reference folder was out (to draw the sketch of St Marys Woolnoth above) I felt the urge to sketch the Venetian Baroque church opposite. Using my PILOT parallel pen – fun!
