Seeing the old year(2014) out quietly…

December 31, 2014 | 3 Comments

It is 10.30pm NYE here in Sydney. I am just about to make a late cuppa and sit down and flick through these books…. my collection of 2014 sketchbooks.

19 completed – 6 still in use. This was a really hard sketch to do – getting so confused with all those A4 folio moleskine in a row and with distractions caused by the Strikers and KP’s laugh (hmm…anyone know what I am referring to?) But now the TV is off and it is lovely and quiet in my neighbourhood at the moment.

For me I prefer to see the old year out in a reflective way – quietly. Reflecting on the ups and downs, those family members and friends that have had tough times…and the many many mercies and constant protection! I can’t even begin to list the things I am thankful for.

Deut 31.8 And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee.

I will add more details later on what these books all are… but just to quickly wish you all a

Happy New Year!

What a great 2014! – thanks for all the support and views and comments and encouragements – you all inspire me to keep moving and learning and sketching and having fun!

Best wishes for a fulfilling and productive 2015 Liz. I'm enjoying your SketchingNow course immensely, not to mention your blogs, trials of papers, inks and other materials and of course your sketching adventures. Yes, KP's giggle sounded like a maniacal lady when giving the cricket commentary!
