International Fake Journal Month

April 1, 2010 | 5 Comments

Ok… Since last year I have known exactly what I should do for International Fake Journal Month – where you journal as someone else… That someone else would naturally it woud be Borromini!
So I am going to give it a go… I plan to follow the idea of the EDM challenge- from a pets point of view- here – and document my life through the eyes of the little Bear. How much I will be able to capture his quirky personality is the big question?!
IFJM 01 Title Page
For one thing I don’t think he has such a hang up about hiding behind ink lines… So I think I am going to be forced to use more pencil this month.
IFJM Borromini and his journal
A proud and excited bear! I am not sure that I have the appropiate skill or wit to be able to portray the character of the little fellow in the coming month!
BTW The back cover was done lying on the scanner but the front picture was a photo – the scan looked like he had walked into a glass door!
BTW2 He is wearing a temporary tag which I have not got around to fixing. Last September when in the UK I was worried I would lose him – so made this from a tag off a Laura Ashley jumper(sweater/ jersey) that I bought. He does really deserve something better….
IFJM 01 Intro
A fairly tame first page – hopefully will get more interesting tomorrow…
Using Lexington Gray ink in this book and pencil – at the moment anyway

I think it is fabulous and now I know who Borromini (yes, I am a newcomer to your fabulous blog). I cackled quite out loud when I heard of Borromini's scanner in the nose debacle. Poor guy!

    Dear Borromini,
how great that you are doing your own journal now. We really like it and are looking forward to your entries.

    Bearhugs from
    Karin and Gabi

BTW you are a really handsome bear and it is a pitty that you are on the cover of a journal for the first time but we are sure it won't be the last time.

Oh, this is going to be good! I can't wait to see what Borromini does/journals each day. I'm thinking I need a small stuffed art companion, too.

This is wonderful!!! I can't wait to see the world from Borromini's point of view. Love the pages so far AND the cover! :)

Oh how wonderful, Borromini! You are a very handsome bear! You should meet my friend Jinge-bear. We travel a lot but don't have our own book. We'll bug Mom and tell her about you!
