I have never done a perfect cup sketch so why would I bother ever trying for one.... well this is a special cup of my nanna's that I wanted to record in a special sketch before it leaves to go and live with my cousin. Third attempt will be from photos!
Being distracted by the news on the TV today WAS indeed a distraction - devasting floods in QLD and Northern NSW! Tragic!

A Big Change (of angle)
Somewhat crazy late night sketch of a a big change in my so-called 'studio corner'. I still have my huge B0 drawing board and left handed drafting machine from my university days (when shock horror I did manual drafting!) Normally it is flat and the back half is the most usual storage space... but I wanted to see what happened if I changed it angle... I just might try my hand at doing something different...
BTW- artistic license in the view out the window - it is totally black right now...but my fan is blowing- very humid tonight!

Nice to see another Australian artist writing about her art.
I have one friend and numerous relatives in flood affected towns. Thankfully they're still ok. Unfortunate the friend is missing out on going to a wedding in Melbourne because of the floods.
What a Gorgeous Teacup set - Stunning. and Special!! It is nice to capture such things through your own hand and word - and Yes we in NYC area have heard and seen the devestating flooding in Queensland. In my prayers for sure.
Like the tea cup, it looks great Liz....wish we had some of that humidity right now
That is one gorgeous cup, saucer, and dessert plate. And the studio area looks fabulous.
