- I have always had some creative project to do in my spare time but I started keeping a sketchbook journal January 2007 and at the same time started using watercolours for the first time.Now I am totally hooked! I am an architect and do loose ink working sketches all the time at work while I am designing, but am trying to improve my skills at sketching what I see. I am purely a sketchbook artist... I love scribbling in a little book, throwing on colour and turning the page for another sketch
