A blast from the past – these are sketches that I did AFTER my return from my first trip to Castle Howard in 2000. Back then I would never believe that I would be able to sketch and paint on location.
These drawings took me quite a while and were completed after I had done some research on the buildings – the notes summarise my readings.
Even freehand, your buildings come out so well. Part of the architect training I guess. Nice to see buildings you had done before you started sketching on a daily basis. -Krista www.kristameister.com
I have always had some creative project to do in my spare time but I started keeping a sketchbook journal January 2007 and at the same time started using watercolours for the first time. Now I am totally hooked!
I am an architect and do loose ink working sketches all the time at work while I am designing, but am trying to improve my skills at sketching what I see.
I am purely a sketchbook artist... I love scribbling in a little book, throwing on colour and turning the page for another sketch

These are beautiful sketches, so full of detail and somehow they even have personality. Very very nice!
